Toys for Manhattan accepts new and experienced toys and gifts for distribution to underprivileged families as Christmas presents for their families. This year the shop is located at 3003 Anderson Ave, Suite 953 (behind Ray’s Apple Market in Village Plaza). Anyone may drop off donations at the shop on Tuesday and Thursday evenings thru December 19 between 5 pm and 8 pm. There are collection sites in the city accepting donations during daytime hours as well: Riley County Police Dept, 1001 S Seth Childs Road, McCullough Development, 210 N 4th St, Manhattan Fire Dept, 2000 Denison Ave, Orscheln’s Farm & Home Supply, 530 McCall Rd and O’Reilly Auto Parts, 700 Ft Riley Blvd.
Also Harris Jewelry in Manhattan Town Center Mall off the food court, Water’s True Value, 401 E Poyntz Ave and UMB Banks 529 Humboldt St & 2700 Anderson Ave.
The distribution season is Saturdays, December 7, 14 and 21 from 9 am to 1 pm and goes to those who otherwise may go without this Christmas season. You are providing a brighter holiday for less fortunate families in our community.
